Many of us face a lot of problem when we have to reinstall windows on our computer or laptop. First thing we have to decide from where to install windows? The options available are DVD or USB Pendrive..

First thing, you should check whether your BIOS supports booting from USB. Most of the computer/laptops support. But if your BIOS doesn’t, then sorry, you cannot boot from a USB Pendrive.

Second thing, you need another computer with Windows installed with a DVD drive, to copy its contents later.

So let us start with the procedure now:

1) Run command prompt (cmd). This can be done by clicking start and typing typing cmd in Windows 7. In Windows Xp, click on start and then click on run. Type cmd and run.

2) Then run diskpart utility from command prompt, by typing ‘diskpart’ on command prompt and pressing enter. This will run the diskpart utility in a separate windows,

3) Now put in your pendrive...


In a USB port. Your pen drive must be atleast 4 GB, 8 GB pendrive is best for this purpose. Now go back to the diskpart console and type ‘listdisk’ and press enter. This will list the various storage devices available. You can see the size column of the disk and here we can see that ‘disk 2′ is our pen drive. Warning: In your computer it may be some other number. In our case it is ‘disk 2′.



4) Then you have to type ‘select disk 2′ and press enter. Note: in our case it is disk 2, in your case it may be disk3, or disk 1 or any other number. You can enter ‘detail disk’ to see the details of the disk after selecting it toverify that you have selected the correct disk. You can see these steps in the image below:





5) Then you have to run a series of commands. The commands to be run in the order are:- clean

- create partition primary

- select partition 1

- active

- format fs=fat32

These steps are shown in the image below:




6) The format step will take some time. You can have a tea or coffee in the meantime and come back. After the format is complete you have to run ‘assign’ command. And after this you can exit diskpart utility by entering the ‘exit’ command. The steps are shown below:

7) After the format is complete, put in your original Windows 7 DVD in your DVD drive, or if you have an .iso image of the DVD, mount that image using any virtual drive software like Power ISO.

- Now go to My Computer, and open the contents of DVD Drive. Press ‘ctrl+a’ to select all contents and copy all the contents by pressing ‘ctrl+c’.

- Now go back to My Computer and open the USB Drive and press ‘ctrl+v’ to paste all the contents of DVD into the USB Disk.


 When the copy finishes, you are done just remove the USB Drive safely and use it to install Windows 7 in your computer/laptop.

1. Connect to your 3G network.
2. Go to Network and Sharing Center (Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center)
3. Click on the 3G connection. In my case, the network name is Singtel.
4. Click Properties at the bottom.
5. Go to Sharing tab. Check the box “Allow others network users to connect through this computer’sInternet connection”. In the dropdown box, select “Wireless Network Connection“. Once done, click the Settings button.
6. Check the last box “Web Server (HTTP)”. This will allow other computer to access Internet via this connection.
Click OK to return to the Network and Sharing center.
7. Next, click on the “Set up a new connection or network”
8. Scroll down until you find the option “Set up a wireless ad hoc network”. Select it.
9. Give this network a name and a password. Click Next.
10. On the next screen, click “Turn on InternetConnection sharing”.



That’s it. You can now connect to this computer and access the Internet from other computers.

1) Insert USB Flash Drive into your computer.

2) Right Click on the USB Flash Drive > Properties


3) Navigate to ReadyBoost tab.


4) Select Use this Device and allocate the amount of memory to use (better choose around 80% of USB FlashDrive's size)
5) Click OK to apply all settings, then Restart the computer for changes to take effect

booting is a major problem for majority of us.we have to wait for a long time to start our computer, but not worry friends becouse in this article i will provide you ways to boost you booting time. faster boot up seems to be an elusive goal for most of the people. we ourself can decrease the time it takes to start up our computer in windows with just few tweaks..lets see how it can be done.

Step 1: Hard Disk Check Up 

Over time, your hard drives gets degraded both physically and digitally. It’s important to monitor your drives health. An error or damaged sector can throw software loading into an infinite loop causing long load times. To check yourdrive health: 

1. Click Start
2. Choose Computer
3. Right Click your Hard Drive
4. Choose Properties
5. Click Check Drives Health. After, the check up gives you repair options or a clean bill of health.
6. Restart to get a faster boot up. 

Step 2: Eliminate Startup Delay 

To get faster boot up speeds, you can cut the boot delay to 0. The delay is in place to allow your startup processes some breathing room during loading. Your default delay is 30 seconds. So, you can eliminate it for faster boot uptimes. 

1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen, type msconfig
4. In the system configuration utility, click either BOOT tab.
5. In the boot menu, change the default setting for the Time Out from 30 to 5 seconds. 

Step 3: Organize your Hard Drive 

If you are looking for something in a messy room, naturally, it’s going to take you longer to find something. This is a good metaphor for a hard drive. Over time, filing system gets disorganized. Periodically, you need to reorganize this filing system on your hard drive. Luckily, Windows has a good utility called Defrag that will put your system in order. 

1.Open the Start Menu
2. Click on My Computer
3. Right Click your C: drive or your hard drive image.
4. Scroll down to the Click Properties
5. In the Properties Menus, Open the “Tools” menu.
6. Choose Defragment.
7. In the Disk Deframenter menu. Click on Defragment 

Step 4: Remove Excess Startup Programs

Most programs you add to your computer will opt to load when you startup your computer. Eventually you will rack up a load of programs that kill faster boottimes. You need to reduce the startup programs. You can easily disable unnecessary startup programs. Here is how: 

1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. Type msconfig, click Enter
4. In the system configuration utility,click either services or startup tab.
5. Uncheck all programs that your are no longer want to run in the background.
6. Click OK

By doing the above you will notice the difference on next start up.

Earlier before i have posted 4 ways to boost your booting time,
today i will show you some tips which i believe are very helpfull to me and surely you will like it too.

I know many of you must be tired after seeing your computer’s speed, here’s what I would suggest you to go through these simple steps to make your computer faster. They helped me in making

my computer comparatively faster. So here are the steps. Do note that all these steps are for Windowscomputer.

1) Clean Temporary Files: Windows applications and windows itself store temporary files in dedicated temporary folder. You should empty this folder time by time. Go to start –> Run and type %temp% , Delete all files of temporary folder. Note: Some files can not be deleted if they are in use. So it’s fine even if they are there.

2) Disable Indexing: Indexing files and folder allows you to search faster, but windows uses CPU and memory for indexing. Disabling it will speed up your windows. (will decrease windows inbuilt search speed). To disable file indexing, right clickthe drive and choose properties from the menu. At bottom uncheck Allow indexing option and press OK.

3) Disk Cleanup: You should clean all unnecessary files with the disk. This includes windows error reports, temporary internet files etc. Right click any partition and click properties. Further click Disk Cleanup and clean files.

4) Defragmentation of Harddisk: Defragment arranges all data on hard disk partition in such way that it can be fetched speedy. So data reading will be faster. So it will improve your windows performance.

In windows 7, go to start menu and type dfrgui.exe and press enter.choose partition to defrag, press analyze and defrag it later.

For older windows versions, right click my computer and choose Manage. In Disk section you will see an option to defrag.

5) Increase Page File Size: Page file is virtual RAM. Increase page file size will allow you to load huge program file in memory. Though increasing page file will help a little in speed up tasks.

In start menu right click my computer icon and choose properties.Go to advanced tab or click Advanced system settings (Vista and Windows 7).Click settings button under performance. Go to advanced tab under performance settings. UnderVirtual memory section click Change button and change the values as per your requirement per drive.

6) Registry Cleanup: Junk and invalid registry keys make windows slow. A registry cleaner freeware e.g. Wise registry cleaner or shareware e.g. Tuneup utilities.

7) Disable Unnecessary Startup items: Unnecessary start up items will slow down your windows start up as well as they will slow down windows performance until they are running in background. To remove start up items, go to Start—>Run, type msconfig and press enter. Go to startup tab and check for unwanted start up programs. Uncheck them and exit all windows accepting changes.

8)Turn off system sounds: Why should we engage our processor in playing sounds while browsing folder or giving error when it has to do other important work ? So the last but not the least would be disabling Windows sounds. To disable windowssound go to control panel , in hardware and sound, you will find an option “change system sounds” under Sound division. Remove all sounds that are just unnecessary.

Try all the above and you will feel the difference surely.

how to hide Files and Folders with Command promt

I hope you all are fine. Its Exams time, Manny must be busy with studies like me. 

So today we gonna see how to hide Files And Folders With Command Promt.

Earlier we already saw How to Create Password protected files/Folders without software , Today we will see how to hide Files and Folders with Command promt. If you have any personal orconfidencial data in your pc and you dont wanna let other to peep it. then this trick will be very helpfull to you.

So lets get started with it.

For instance: Say you have a folder with name "Photos" which is stored in drive " D "  and you think strangers should not see this folder then to hide that folder do the followings. 

STEPS :

1. Press Windowskey + Run , Run command will appear.
2. In that type cmd and press enter. This will open Command prompt 
3. Now Type "attrib +s +h D:\Photos" then press enter. 
4. Thats it your folder is now hidden, if not then there will be some mistake done by you. (you will have to change the directory accordingly.once hidden it cannot be viewed by any search option.)
5. Once hidden, now you want to unhide it again, simply use the same command but replace '+' with '-' on both flags 's' and 'h' (For eg : "attrib -s -h D:\Photos" )

hide a text message in image file

Today we will see how to hide TextMessage in any image file.
This is an awesome trick and very easy one too. IF you wish to send a text messega to you friendsprivately or you yourself want to hide a textmessage in image file then this article will help you a lot.

After hiding the message in a image file there will be no damage to the file just the size of the file will increase a bit.

So lets check how it is done.

First of all open run and type cmd., click enter. This will open Command promt.
Now you have to navigate to the folder where you have copied the files(1 .jpg file and 1 txt file which contains your message.)


For example, if your files are in "D" drive, then after opening cmd, type, D: and hit enter, now you are in your d drive, now if your folder name is Photos then type "cd photos"  (without quotes) now you are in photos folder.

Now main step. Type this command after navigating to the folder.

copy /b imagefilename.jpg + textfilename.txt outputimagename.jpg
Type the exact code, but dont forgot to replace the few words, imagefilename.jpg with your image filename and with proper extension, textfilename.txt with your text file, outputimagename.jpg youroutput image name, use whatever you want, but remember to use right extension.All done by now your message has been hiden in you image and a new folder will be created in the same folder with the name you wrote in place of outputimagename.jpg.

As everything is done by now. you must be thinking how to view the message now.
dont worry we will see that too. its very simple .
You just have to open the output file with notepad, scroll down to the bottom. check the last line.
you message will be displayed there.
